Exclusive Claremont Residences set to breathe new life into upmarket town as first of many owners move in

STAGE one of the sought-after Claremont Residences is now complete.

The Multiplex Living development is a stylish residential apartment building, featuring 48 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and nine penthouses.

Located above the recently-opened retail precinct, Claremont Quarter, the first stage of Claremont Residences has just welcomed its first owners.

Set over four levels, Claremont Residences offers a unique sanctuary, fronting the exclusive St Quentin Avenue.

All apartment frontages have been designed to maximise the available views from all aspects, without compromising the privacy of each apartment.

The uppermost level of the Residences – level 7 – is dedicated to nine elegant penthouses, all with three bedrooms, separate study and private balcony with river views.

Multiplex Living’s director of sales and marketing Tim Willing said Claremont was in an exciting phase, with renewal projects of this type enticing people to live in the centre of the suburb.

“Claremont Residences offer a new exemplar for modern living, with entertainment and shopping on the doorstep in one of Perth’s premier lifestyle locations,’’ he said.

“At the same time, it offers privacy, views and a local community environment.

“This is something new to the WA market and a very desirable option for inner-city living.”

Claremont Mayor Peter Olson said that after more than 50 years it would be great to see people living in the Claremont town centre again.

“The town centre will be enlivened with the residents who will not only live there but shop, relax and dine in one of the most recognised areas in Australia,’’ he said.

Designed by nationally-acclaimed architects James Christou & Partners, and Hassell, Claremont Residences is set back from the streetscape, and enjoys the prestigious surrounds of Bay View Terrace.

All apartments feature an abundance of natural light, in some cases river views, and all have access to a level-four garden and resort-style outdoor pool area, and secure undercroft parking.

When completed, the overall Claremont Quarter redevelopment will feature a mixed-use development encompassing 30,000 square metres of retail shops over two levels, in addition to 77 residential apartments, 600 square metres of commercial offices and 1434 car spaces.

Stage 2 is now underway, comprising 29 apartments.

It is due for completion in mid-2011. n
