THE Strawberry Fields Tea Garden in Neerabup has re-opened under new management.

New owner Gay Smythe said the Wanneroo Road tearooms had been around for about 15 years but were closed for months before Ms Smythe bought the store.

“I called the old tearooms last August to see if they were open yet to go out for a coffee and was told the business was for sale,” she said.

Ms Smythe said she redecorated with an African theme to create a trendy, comfortable and child-friendly atmosphere.

Strawberry Fields caters for pensioners groups, play groups, children’s parties and has an outdoor area for private functions.

The café is BYO and serves tea, coffee and light lunches.

The Strawberry Fields Farm Shop offers strawberries from July to December, wine, liqueurs, ports, jam and syrups.

We had morning tea at the strawberry fields last week. We enjoyed the blackforest, cheese cakes and scones , they were really nice!

I went to strawbery fields for the first time last week and loved it. Beautiful gardens, great for the kids, we got tea and scones which were beautiful, kids loved the ice cream - the cafes decor was lovely too - im definetly going back there soon.
