ROCKINGHAM and Kwinana job seekers will have more opportunities to find employment during the next mining boom with the opening of Australia Personnel Global office in Rockingham on Tuesday.

AP Global will offer job opportunities and training to local people in the growing mining sector in skilled, semi skilled and professional roles.

The company’s mining and engineering services chief executive Glenn Redman said southern metropolitan suburbs were booming.

“It’s well known that south of Perth is a boom town thanks to mining and resources projects that have elevated the State to be Australia’s economic powerhouse,” he said.

“Partnering a local office with access to the national resources of AP Global is an ideal situation.”

Mr Redman said it was important to have local staff at the office to cater for residents.

“Having a local office staffed by locals who know the resources and mining industry in the region will benefit our clients immensely,” he said.

“With our established relationships and local knowledge, we can attract the calibre of candidates required to drive the local region forward.”

Cockburn MLA Francis Logan, and representatives from the WA Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union attended the opening.

The office is located at Unit 9, 5 Goddard Street in Rockingham.
