PORT Kennedy beach scenes have won the prizes at the Westpac 100 Things We Love About Port Kennedy’ art exhibition.
Winners were announced at an evening at the new Port Kennedy branch this week by a judging panel consisting of Margy Timmermans, Rockingham councillor Deb Hamblin, artist Sylvia Stonehouse and branch manager Rob Crerar.
In the adult category, the prize was awarded to Lesley Taylor’s painting Ocean Breeze Port Kennedy, which depicts beautiful sea views.
“I’ve lived in the Port Kennedy area for the past 30 years and have long admired and loved the fresh, clean beautiful beaches we are so blessed to have,” Ms Taylor said.
In the children’s category 14-year-old, Jessica Brown’s painting Port Kennedy Beach won.
A total of $1330 was raised form the sale of artworks and donated to the Port Kennedy RSL.
